I came to realize that it was a bit of a no-win for me, because my fingers swell and shrink quite a bit from morning to night. I ALWAYS feel like I'm going to lose it in the shower.

I wear one on my ring finger (size 5.5) and one on the same finger on my right hand (custom size 5.75)... would you believe, with only a quarter size difference, I can't get the engagement ring to fit on my right hand? Can't get it on at all. Yet on my left hand, it feels too big half the time.

I will say, I initially thought mine would be way too tight as well. I had to have the right-hand ring sized down from a size 8 to 5.75... when I was initially asking to have it done, I wanted size 6.5, but the goldsmith told me to trust him. I think he was right, in retrospect, but it took some getting used to. As long as it can be adjusted later, I'd say just give it a whirl. Worst that happens is you have to slather your hand in butter! Or snip it off and have him weld it back together...

:)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4325665471559207183.post-15882247044559397432009-02-21T21:15:00.000-08:002009-02-21T21:15:00.000-08:00You crack me up! Hope that your ring slides on smoothly, perhaps for the ceremony have some lotion on it so it will go on without 'struggle'? Wishing you all the best~ you will be fine and oddly everything goes better than expected. Sending hugs to you---
TamieTamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04271249831941446070noreply@blogger.com
